Wapikoni Mobile Corporation proposed testing of the expansion and adaptation of the “Learn by Creating” methodology to support the strengthening of Indigenous communities in Brazil – and of Indigenous women in particular – in their struggle to defend their rights and their territory. The innovative solution was to be tested with a group of young women in Bahia and a mixed group in the Mato Grosso.

Following discussions with the Fund for Innovation and Transformation, the project was discontinued at Wapikoni and their partners’ request at seven months. This was a carefully considered decision with the impact on and best interests of the local communities and participants in mind.
