Waterlution a Water Learning Experience.jpg (221 KB) Waterlution will engage 18 to 39-year-old women from two economically impoverished, predominantly Black, peri-urban informal settlements in the municipality of Cabo de Santo Agostinho, in Northeastern Brazil. These settlements currently face serious water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) challenges.

The testing project aims to provide these women, currently underrepresented in water governance, with the skills, network leverage and increased confidence to represent and insert themselves into WASH decision making processes benefiting themselves and their community.

This will be done via a 4-phase framework, conceived with a gender transformative lens throughout: 1) WASH leadership training; 2) Co-created gender-equitable community WASH diagnostic tool; 3) Skills workshops and coaching; 4) Actionable policy development and recommendations.
